According to the Federal Statistical Office, parents spend an average of around 800 euros a month on their children up to their 18th birthday, from daycare fees to sneakers and satchels to music lessons, insurance and toys. The older the children get, the greater their own desires, from a cell phone to a mountain bike to a driver’s license. If the training is due, it gets really expensive, for example, if you have to finance your studies.
